Health Union Announces Acceptance to Present at APHA’s 2018 Annual Meeting and Expo

PHILADELPHIA – June 21, 2018 – Health Union, LLC has been accepted for an oral presentation at the 2018 Annual Meeting & Expo of the American Public Health Association (APHA) in San Diego. The presentation, based on the abstract titled “Perceived treatment satisfaction and effectiveness facilitators among patients with chronic health conditions: A self-reported survey,” will occur at 3 p.m. on Nov. 12.

The presentation will:

  • Describe the relationship between perceived medication effectiveness and treatment satisfaction
  • Identify the factors that influence patients when making personal evaluations of medication effectiveness
  • Explain the extent to which patient-specific and condition-specific factors affect the nature of these relationships

The presentation’s abstract was authored by Health Union’s Kate Volpicelli Leonard, MPH, director of community development; Courtney Robertson, Ph.D., senior research director for insights; and LB Herbert, Ph.D., executive director of research and analytics.

According to the APHA’s website, the Annual Meeting and Expo, which runs this year from Nov. 10-14, is the “largest annual gathering of public health professionals,” with more than 12,000 people in attendance and thousands of new abstracts presented each year.
