Health Union Recognized by Inc. 5000 as a Fastest Growing Company for Second Consecutive Year

—The company ranks high among categories for Philadelphia, metro area, state and health industry—

PHILADELPHIA – August 15, 2019 – For the second consecutive year, Health Union has been recognized by Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, which represents the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Health Union ranked No. 906 overall.

With a three-year growth of 469%, Health Union ranks within the list’s top 20%. When looking at specific categories, the company ranks:

  • Sixth among 28 companies headquartered in the city of Philadelphia
  • In the top 13% in the Philadelphia metro area
  • In the top 14% in Pennsylvania
  • In the top 20% in the health category

This recognition reflects Health Union’s continued exponential growth since launching its first community – Migraine.com – in late 2010. By the end of 2019, Health Union will operate 25 condition-specific online communities that provide safe and supportive environments for people to learn, connect and share the experiences of living with chronic health concerns.

According to Inc., the companies recognized by the 2019 Inc. 5000 achieved a three-year average growth of 454%, and a median rate of 157%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1.2 million jobs over the past three years.

The list is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2015 and 2018. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating a minimum revenue of $100,000 by March 31, 2015. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent and have a minimum 2018 revenue of $2 million as of Dec. 31, 2018.
