– Employee survey results depict ‘collaborative,’ highly engaged workforce –

PHILADELPHIAMay 5, 2020 — Health Union has been recognized among Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces in 2020, the first time the company has made this list and a continuation of the company’s growing national recognition. The Best Workplaces program is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement and stellar benefits.

The 389 companies that made Inc.’s Best Workplaces list were selected based on employee surveys, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed and audited the data, then ranked all the employers using a composite score of survey results.

Health Union is one of 99 companies listed in the Medium-Large (100-249) category. It is also one of 15 in the health industry, one of seven in the greater Philadelphia area and one of just two headquartered in the city of Philadelphia. The company received an engagement score of 92.62 from the employee survey; additional findings from the survey include:

  • 88% of Health Union team members are categorized as “highly engaged”
  • The top word used to describe the work environment was “collaborative”
  • Health Union had a 97% favorability rating toward the statement, “The senior leaders of the organization value people as their most important resources”

“Without the amazing, talented and caring people who make up Health Union, it would be impossible to follow through on our mission to help people live better with challenging health conditions,” said Health Union co-founder and CEO Olivier Chateau. “We believe that success comes from meaningful human connection – from the environments we establish within each of our online health communities to how we engage with our biopharma partners – and that starts with treating all of our team members like the truly important resources they are.”

The awards list, which was published today on Inc.com, can be found here. The list will also be featured in the magazine’s May/June 2020 print edition.
