At this time, you do not need to update your contract. If any contract changes are needed in the future, your WEGO contact will reach out to you directly.
Will this impact the WEGO Health Awards?
2021 marks the 10th year of the WEGO Health Awards. Each year, we look to elevate the program with more ways to get involved and engage with others. This year, the program will run as normal, and we look forward to incorporating many of the Health Union Pillars and Connexion programming, which will allow even more patient leaders to get involved.
Does this impact my public WEGO Health Account?
There will be no impact on your WEGO Health account. Moving forward, having a WEGO Health account will give you access to more opportunities, resources, and ways to connect with others. Please be sure to update your contact information to make sure you receive news and updates!
Does this mean you’ve sold my data?
The WEGO Health Patient Leader Network will still exist as it does today, but now under a new parent company, Health Union, LLC. We will follow the terms outlined in the WEGO Health Privacy Policy (which you can find here), and specifically the following under the “With Whom Do We Share Your Information?” section: In the event of a corporate change in control resulting from, for example, a sale to, or merger with, another entity, or in the event of a sale of assets or a bankruptcy, WEGO Health reserves the right to transfer your Personal Information to the new party in control or the party acquiring assets. In the event of such a change, your Personal Information will continue to be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy unless any changes to the Privacy Policy are made in accordance with the section below that discusses “Changes to This Privacy Policy.”

WEGO Health and Health Union know how frustrated the patient leader community is with social media and privacy issues and would never want to jeopardize the work that you do.
