Health Union Recognized by Inc. 5000 for Fourth Consecutive Year As One of Nation’s Fastest Growing Companies

PHILADELPHIA – August 19, 2021 – For the fourth consecutive year, Health Union has been recognized by Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, which represents the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Health Union ranked No. 1,838 overall.
With a three-year growth of 247%, Health Union ranks in the top 40% of companies on the list. When looking at specific categories, the company ranks:
- In the top 20% among companies headquartered in the city of Philadelphia
- In the top 25% in Pennsylvania
- In the top 28% in the Philadelphia metro area
This recognition reflects Health Union’s ongoing and impressive growth, which recently led to the acquisition of WEGO Health, the world’s largest network of patient leaders – advocates, community leaders, creators and influencers. Additionally, Health Union continues to add to its growing portfolio of online health communities, with 38 slated by the end of 2021.

Inc. 5000 has recognized the fastest-growing private companies in America since 1982. According to Inc., the companies recognized by the 2021 Inc. 5000 achieved a three-year average growth of more than 500%, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, the companies have added over 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

The list is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2017 and 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generated a minimum revenue of $100,000 by March 31, 2017. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent and have a minimum 2020 revenue of $2 million as of Dec. 31, 2020.
