Living With: Episode 8, Jeffrey P
In preparation for November and Lung Cancer Awareness Month, I interviewed LungCancer.net advocate Jeffrey Poehlmann in late September. Sadly, just a few weeks later, he passed away due to complications from stage IV lung cancer. In this episode of Living With, Jeffrey talks about the importance of humor, the stigma of lung cancer, and the language we use to describe the disease.
I also created a Bonus episode from my conversation with Jeffrey, including how others can be supportive of the person with cancer and how cancer and its treatment can impact a person’s sense of self.
Jeffrey was a dedicated advocate, and his presence in the LungCancer.net community is sorely missed.
